I’ve started posting training videos and tutorials on my YouTube channel. I’m posting stuff on my website. I’m Live Streaming daily and teaching video production for businesses to beginners… and I thought it was time for me to post a brief summary video about who I am and what I do.

There are all kinds of tips for being more likable on camera and connecting better. Today I’ll tell you the secret to getting EVERYBODY to like you.

Hey I’m Larry Becker and I’ve been on camera more than 20 years. When that’s your job, you study other people on camera and I’ve made a little discovery about how to get every single viewer to like you.

You can’t. It can’t be done.

In fact, there will ALWAYS be trolls and there will always be people who just don’t like you for one reason or another. What you may not realize is that this is actually a good thing.

First, consider that you really want to attract customers who like you in the first place. If they find you abrasive or annoying, for any crazy reason, maybe you look like their ex, then you don’t need to waste your time trying to get them to like you. Spend your time with people who already like you.

Instead of trying to get EVERYBODY to like you, there’s a much better question. Ask, “How can I get more people to like me?”

The answers to that question will help you be better on camera and will actually be better for you and your business. Here are a few quick tips:

•Look directly at the camera
•Talk conversationally
•Be real. Don’t act like a newscaster or college professor giving a lecture.
•Talk like you’re talking to a friend.

Then when you do get that nasty comment or email, ignore it. Remember that not everybody will like you all the time and you should put your energy into positive things and worthwhile customers.

If this kind of advice is helpful and you’re thinking about doing your own business videos, you’ll love the free gift I created for you. It’s a video called “10 Tools to Help Any Business Do Your First Pro-Looking Video In-House.” It’s a 10 minutes long and it will help you get started on your very first video for your business.
